My experience on group wiki

In this week's lesson, I was tasked to post our findings and opinions on the topic Cyber Bullying as a group. This is my first time taking part in wiki and also as a group. The method that we used to contribute as a whole group is to give our opinions and comments on the topic and then put all of our work together to post on the wiki.

I feel that it is a brand new experience sharing my own and group's opinions with other readers on the internet and is defintely a good learning experince for me. I can get to read on other people's view and give my comments too. It will help on my research work and i think it will be better if the post is originated from lecturers or experts because I believe that their comments are more accurate since they have better knowledge.

One of the most challenging experience is to find the statistic evidence to support that cyber bullying is becoming more common nowadays in order to make my posting more interesting. Some research work has to be done and I had spend quite a lot of time doing that. Another challenging part is to consolidate all our work to take out repeated or similar comments. This is only necessary if we are working as a group.

I will encourage next batch of students to use wiki as one of the research source as it is a good way to collect many information on the related topic in a short time.

My dream Hoilday

Going overseas for holiday is my dream since young. There are so many places I want to go such as Eiffel tower in France, Mount Fuji and Kyoto in Japan.

I have chosen these countries as my holiday destinations is because of the culture and food in the country. In France, I will be able to find bread, wine, cheese, and dessert everywhere. There are many amazing architectures in France such as castle. The reason why I want to pick up French is also bacause I will be able to communicate well in the future if I have a chance to go France. In Japan, I can try the famous hot spring in the Japanese ryokan which I am sure its going to be a great experience. If I go there during the winter season, I can experience snow weather whichI have never experience before. Last but not least, I can enjoy my favourite cuisine in the local restaurant.

The photos above was taken from the travel related websites. The criteria that I used to evaluate the websites are coverage. The website allows me to find out more about the icons, accommodations, transportation and food in the country. I can also find photos of beautiful sceneries of the country and also navigations to other travel agencies.

By browsing through the webstites, I get to know more about my dream holiday destination. I hope that  there will be chances to go to the my dream destinations in the future. 

My third post

In this week's tutorial, I have learnt various ways to produce more desirable results when using google search engine. One of the search strategies is to create search queries with key variations. This is the first time I have came across this kind of method to do research. I was impressed upon seeing the results that differ from what I usually get without using key variations.

I came to know of another search engine also, Google Scholar. At first, I have doubts in this search engine because I don't believe that I will be able to get a more desired results by using it. But when I used both search engines, Google and Goolge Scholar, the top fews results for Google Scholar are all relevant to me whereas Google does not give me the result that I want on the first page. This shows that Google Scholar is a much more effective search engine with higher relevance as compared to Google. I am definitely looking forward to using Google Scholar for my future researches.

I had discussed my point of view of the given topic on the facebook forum. This is my very first time posting my view on discussion forum. I felt that there is nothing to be afraid of to share your perspectives on the forum. It is a very good way of widening your knowledge in a short period of time. It is also a very quick way to get other people's opinion which can be helpful in our research. I will definitely participate more actively in the discussion forum in near future.

Citation and bibliography are essential in doing researches because it violates the right of the person who originated or contributed to the idea. It is so important that we should credit others for their ideas, if not we run the risk of plagiarism. If we put ourself into their shoes, we would definitely want our hardwork to be acknowledged and credited.

My second post

Hi readers, this is my second blog for EIR. In this second week of tutorial, I was tasked to reseach on reseach on a topic that I choose which is nuclear energy source. The reason why I choose this topic is because I have a great interest in Science and i hope that i can be able to get to know more about it.

 For my second part of the assignment, I am tasked to purchase items that I would like to have if I have $500 in my hand. I believe many would think that how great will it be if its real. Well, there are stuffs that flash through my mind. They are..........

Perhaps, this are the items that I would really like to have if I have extra money on my hand. Shopping online has a certain disadvantages and one of them is buyers could easily get cheater as they are not sure of who the sellers are and also the information given in the website may be a scam.

At the end of this assignment, I have learnt that it can be simple to get the things we want through the internet as the items can be cheaper but one should not be too commited into online purchasing as he or she may risk being cheated.

Hi all readers, my name is Zhong wei and Im from Diploma in Business Information. My favourite past time activities are watching anime, reading manga and play sports. I also like to listen to music and my favourite singers are Jason Mraz and Bruno Mars. They do have a nice voice(Y). I don't really have a favourite TV programme as I spend most of the time using laptop when im at home. I like to eat rochor beancurd for supper with my friends. My hobby is to play badminton. Practise, practise and practise makes you a good player.
